Urgent Dental Care – Help Available 24/7 Through NHS 111

The NHS want to help raise awareness of the urgent dental care services available to children and adults through NHS 111. More emergency dental appointments have been made available this year, and these can now be accessed by contacting NHS 111.
Don’t suffer with dental pain – help is available 24/7
If a child or adult experiences any of the following, NHS 111 is the quickest route to urgent dental care, day or night:
- A tooth that has been knocked out
- Severe dental pain that is disrupting sleep
- Swelling, lumps, or signs of infection in the mouth or face
How NHS 111 can help
NHS 111 can:
- Advise you on where and how to get treatment
- Arrange urgent or emergency dental appointments, including at nearby dental practices, even if you do not have a regular dentist
What to do if you need urgent dental help
- Contact your regular dentist first, if you have one
- If they are unable to help, or if you do not have a dentist:
- Call NHS 111, or
- Visit 111.nhs.uk
The service is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
