Rosedale College

Rosedale college is recognised nationally as an educational establishment that consistently strives for academic excellence. A bespoke curriculum, within a well-resourced learning environment, is delivered by staff who are committed to helping every child achieve their personal best. The specialist schools and academies trust identified the college as "one of the best schools in the country” with Ofsted rating the college as good (November 2016).

Following its success as one of the best performing schools in London in 2017, GCSE results this year continue to outperform national and local averages with 67% of students achieving five or more GCSEs at grade 4 and above including English and mathematics. The college’s Progress 8 measure is 0.53 with Attainment 8 at 47.5.

Ongoing improvement at A Level is also evidenced year on year as results are published.

The sharing of good practice underpins a strategy for continued improvement and great importance is placed on investment in outstanding teaching and learning.

Rosedale College was awarded the Inclusion Quality Mark in 2015 and is now in the second year of development towards the IQM Certificate of Excellence, focusing principally on the pathways which are right for each student and the sharing of best inclusive practice, training and collaboration with colleagues from across the Trust. In their visit in November 2017 IQM observed that  “Pupils make excellent progress at the college and the focus on transitions, choices and pathways from the perspective of the individual and their needs is effective. Great relationships underpin the inclusive strategy across the college. There is a clear focus on what is right for the students.”

As an educational provider of 11 to 19 education within The Rosedale Hewens Academy Trust, Rosedale College is able to provide a wide and valuable range of academic and vocational courses to ensure it caters for the needs of all students. The College also believes in robust partnerships with parents, guardians, carers and working cohesively with all stakeholders to secure its vision of success for all students.
